On July 14, 2028, flag football will make its historic Olympic debut in Los Angeles. With that exciting milestone on the horizon, we here at The Source decided to assemble our dream roster for Team USA-if the selection had to be made today. Remember, under Olympic rules, each team is limited to just 10 players, making every spot on the roster count.

Quarterbacks (1)

  • Lamar Jackson (Baltimore Ravens)
  • Elite dual-threat QB; his speed, change of direction, and ability to extend plays make him a perfect flag football weapon.

Offensive Skill Players / WR / RB (4)

  • Tyreek Hill (Miami Dolphins)
  • Fastest player in football - uncoverable in space and a huge YAC threat.
  • Justin Jefferson (Minnesota Vikings)
  • Polished route runner with elite ball skills and agility; reliable in clutch moments.
  • Christian McCaffrey (San Francisco 49ers)
  • A running back with wide receiver-level hands and route running - ideal for quick dump-offs and creating mismatches.
  • Deebo Samuel (San Francisco 49ers)
  • Hybrid player who can line up anywhere; deadly on reverses, quick passes, and screens.

Defensive Backs / Hybrid Defenders (4)

  • Sauce Gardner (New York Jets)
  • Lengthy lockdown corner who excels in 1-on-1 coverage and reading the QB's eyes.
  • Pat Surtain II (Denver Broncos)
  • Disciplined and physical - a perfect cover man with elite awareness.
  • Micah Parsons (Dallas Cowboys)
  • A hybrid defender with the speed to cover and the explosiveness to blitz; he'll be the defensive X-factor.
  • Jaire Alexander (Green Bay Packers)
  • Quick feet and great anticipation in zone and man coverage

Flag Football Specialist (1)

  • Darian 'Da Beast" Discud (USA Flag Football)
  • Veteran flag football player with high-level experience and tactical knowledge; brings leadership and situational savvy.

We would love to hear your thoughts. How many NFL players will actually want to participate? Always a fun exercise!
