There is a common denominator in life for all human beings and that includes football coaches. It is called time. We all get 24 hours in a day. We all get seven days a week. We can use that allotment of time how we see fit. There are a lot of flag football coaches who are about to learn a hard lesson about this. They are going to learn that if you go out to your flag football practice without flag football scout team cards you are wasting time. Time that is going to get you beat.
When you take the field for a flag football practice there are a lot of similarities in what you and the Green Bay Packers are trying to accomplish. You are trying to cover anything and everything that will possibly show up on game day. So a good flag football coach will make sure that you include fundamentals and drill work. If this is not repeatedly practiced, the rest will not matter.

However; as you prepare for an opponent, you have to do exactly that. You can't just run your flag football plays on air. You cannot just run your plays against your defense. Well, I guess you could but it is not the best way to practice. As college and high school flag football continues to advance, scouting will ultimately become a part of it. It may take the form of someone going to your opponents game or you may even exchange video.
Once this happens, good flag football coaches will want to practice against what their opponent does. This means coaches will need to sit down and draw up flag football offensive plays and defenses that your opponent runs. If the team you are about to play runs a 1-3-3 flag football zone defense 90% of the time then that's what you better be practicing against.
If your opponent runs a ton of Bunch formations to create picks and rubs then you can bet your players are going to thank you if you practice that the week before the game. This is where scout team cards or practice cards will be critical to your flag football practice.
