USA Football, Flag Football's National Governing Body responsible for selecting, training, and leading Team USA in both tackle and flag football for international competition has officially announced the final rosters for its 15U and 17U Boys’ and Girls’ National Teams. These teams will compete in the 2026 Junior International Cup.
This comes after a strategic process that allows athletes to get into the USA Football pipeline. 40 athletes were selected for each age group to compete in a trials competition in March, from there 18 are selected to participate in training camp. Final roster selections were made following a training camp held April 16–19 at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center in California. Each team features 12 athletes, along with designated alternates. Those selected will travel to Los Angeles in June to compete in the fifth edition of the Junior International Cup, hosted at Dignity Health Sports Park.
The event provides athletes with valuable experience in five-on-five, Olympic-style flag football, while helping them develop the skills needed to compete on the international stage. These Junior National Teams are part of USA Football’s National Team Pathway, which offers athletes the opportunity to represent their country from youth levels all the way to the adult stage.
